1. Overview

Family Locator helps family members and trusted contacts share locations, request location updates, receive notifications, and stay connected on a map. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is shared, and what choices you have.

This policy applies to the Family Locator mobile application for iOS and Android and to related backend services. The iOS Bundle ID is com.zetavue.familyfinder. The Android package name is com.home22.famliyfinder.

Important: Family Locator is not intended for secret tracking. Location sharing should only be used with the knowledge and consent of the people involved.

Sharing We do not sell personal data. Location is shared only with connected users you choose and service providers needed to run the app.

3. How We Use Data

We do not sell your personal information, use precise location for advertising, or share your location with advertising networks.

4. Permissions

5. Service Providers and Sharing

We use trusted third-party services to operate the app, including Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, cloud messaging, and related infrastructure, and Google Maps services for map display. These providers process data on our behalf according to their terms and privacy commitments.

Your location may be visible to family members or trusted contacts in the groups you join or create. You should only invite people you trust and only share location with consent.

6. Storage and Retention

  • Location requests, responses, and temporary location records are retained only as long as needed to provide the service and are intended to be deleted or overwritten according to app and backend retention settings.
  • Group and account records are kept while your account or group membership remains active.
  • Local app settings and cached data remain on your device until you delete them, sign out, reset the app, or uninstall it.
  • Support messages and voluntary diagnostic materials are kept only as long as needed to resolve the issue or meet legal obligations.

7. Your Choices and Rights

  • Stop or pause location sharing inside the app where available.
  • Change or revoke location, notification, and background permissions in system settings.
  • Leave a family group or remove members if you manage the group.
  • Delete local history or app data where the app provides controls.
  • Contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of data associated with your account, subject to identity verification and applicable law.

8. Children, Security, and International Transfers

Family Locator may be used by families, but it is not designed for secret monitoring of children or any other person. Parents or guardians are responsible for obtaining any required consent before inviting minors.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures such as encrypted network transport, Firebase security controls, access limitation, and data minimization. Because we use global cloud providers, data may be processed in countries other than your own.

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy when features, legal requirements, or our data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
